The Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023) becomes effective at midnight on December 31st, 2023

The Florida Building Code 8th (2023) Edition becomes effective at midnight on December 31st, 2023. All permit applications and plans submitted on or after that date must comply with the new edition and use one of our updated permit applications.

Also, please be advised that all master permits must be updated to comply with the new edition. Permit submittals intended to comply with the current code must be received in the portal before December 31st.
